Blood and Petals

Like yesterday's snow from branches falling

From the deepest of the seas, it is calling

Leaking from the cracks of my broken skin

Back like a long lost friend, adopted kin

And cuts like the southern wind cold and blind

As I bask in the solace of our bind

Inescapable pleasure of torture

Like from the white jaw, the flesh's departure

Fragile always to petals of blood's blow

In your soul's gaps like a fire in the snow

Yet, if hell fired from the heavens like rain

For you, I'd still bear and smile through the pain
