I never was a bird
Couldn't learn to fly
A stone in the river
Is all I ever am
Don't want to be a bird
I've set my eye higher
Right up to the heavens
Where the river can't find
And flow all over me
I want to leave this world
Fly to the atmosphere
And push the boundaries
Touch the stars in the sky
How I yearn for the stars
What awaits me up there
That I know not of yet
But I'm ready to learn
So I ask the question
